The Spotlights On Vettel At Singapore This Weekend Print E-mail

It could be do or die for Sebastian Vettel this weekend. We are gearing up for The Singapore Grand Prix. The race which, some believe, may just decide the whole season.

There are many any feel, if the German wins on Sunday, then the championship may be all wrapped up. The extraordinary Red Bull driver has been on top of the leader board for weeks. He has experienced eight victories and is 112 points in front. If that's not all, there are only six meets left in the season

However, it still may not be done and dusted should Sebastian Vettel come first. It is felt other results have to turn out in his favour before he can be champ. But it seems almost a foregone conclusion. This is because Vettel is far ahead of his competitors; Fernando Alonso, Jenson Button and fellow Red Bull driver Mark Webber. Britain's Lewis Hamilton, in fifth place, has reportedly called the 2011 season his worst in Formula One.

Still, if Sebastian Vettel does indeed win the Grand Prix, then he will have set a new record. The German will be, at 24, the youngest driver in history to ever reclaim the championship. He won the 2010 Grand Prix in Abu Dhabi, in the United Arab Emirates. But Vettel is all set to repeat his stunning success at the harbour side circuit on Marina Bay. It is close to Central Area; on the south of Singapore.

This all important race is due to take place at 8pm on Sunday the 25th of September. It will be held under blazing floodlights. Where Vettel could feel the glow of victory and possibly emerge as a brand new champion.
