Vettel Looking For High Five At Abu Dhabi

The second Grand Prix race inside of a fortnight sees the action being transferred to the Middle East. The latest Formula 1 meet will be held in the beautiful capital of the United Arab Emirates. It is the 2012 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, otherwise known as the 2012 Formula 1 Etihad Airways Abu Dhabi Grand Prix.

This is the site of the 18th race of the 2012 Grand Prix season, as well as the concluding race taking place this year in Asia. The organisers will set the ball rolling on Sunday the 4th of November at 17.00.

This year marks the fourth time the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix has gone ahead at the Yas Marina Circuit. The race lasts an exhilarating 55 laps. It takes in a circuit length of 5.554 km (3.451 mi) and a race length of 305.470 km (189.810 mi).

The meet was first won by Sebastian Vettel in 2009. There are many racing fans expecting the German to be victorious once again. This will give him an incredible fifth win in succession. They say it will make the Red Bull racer practically unbeatable, with his hand on the Grand Prix title.

However, he still has stiff competition from Fernando Alonso, who is still fighting to steal the championship away from him. It is now looking increasingly though like an impossible task. The grid will also feature a hungry Mark Webber, Vettel’s Red Bull teammate, hoping to improve his chances of poaching the title, but he will have to watch out for Kimi Raikkonen. The Lotus driver is six points in front of him and ahead in the standings.
