There was a shock for racing fans at a heated Japanese Grand Prix in Suzuka this Sunday. It potentially sees the 2012 season being more wide open than previously thought.
This is turning out to be quite a year for 50th anniversaries. There are many momentous occasions celebrating their half century in 2012. 1962 saw the release of the Beatles first single “Love Me Do”, as well as the first James Bond film `Dr. No`.
This weekend sees the 2012 Japanese Grand Prix, due to go ahead on Sunday the 7th of October at 3pm. It will take place at the Suzuka International Racing Course in Suzuka City. It is an illustrious racing track which also happens to be celebrating its 50th birthday this year.
This weekend sees the cream of motor racing set off for Marina Bay for the 2012 Singapore Grand Prix. The 14th race of the calendar will be the 13th Grand Prix held in Singapore. But there is a whole grid of racers hoping this Formula One World Championship won’t be unlucky for them.
This weekend’s Italian Grand Prix at Monza saw a brilliant double for the McLaren team, where they had two wins inside a fortnight. This race, however, turned out very differently for the two drivers, Lewis Hamilton and Jenson Button.
Isn’t it always the same? You wait a long time for a Grand Prix race and then two come at once. Formula One fans have had to do without their motor racing fix for the entire month of August. But now we are into September, and we have two F1 races inside a fortnight. After the crash bang excitement of The Belgian Grand Prix, it is now the turn of the Italian Republic to turn up the heat. This weekend brings us the 2012 Italian Grand Prix.
